NPD1-CELAVISTA®


NP D1 DHA 1000 NPD1-CELAVISTA® is a food product supplied in soft capsules to be taken orally. NPD1-CELAVISTA® is a formula that was developed more than 16 years ago by Dr José M. Cela that contains 1,000 mg/capsules of docosahexaenoic acid (DHA). The formulation is protected by intellectual property laws.

NPD1-CELAVISTA® contains DHA, i.e., a fatty acid that predominates in the human retina, brain and nervous system. NPD1-CELAVISTA® contains a trophic factor that is especially necessary for visual and neurological development in infants during pregnancy, breastfeeding and part of childhood. The NPD1-CELAVISTA® helps to preserve visual and neurological functionality in adults.

COMPOSITION (per soft capsule)
 

NPD1-CELAVISTA® is a food supplement supplied in soft gelatinin capsules for oral administration. Each capsule at least contains a high concentration of omega 3 fatty acids (98%) at a rate of 1,300 mg/capsule in the form of triglycerides, of which a minimum of 1,000 mg. are DHA (4, 7, 10, 13, 16, 19-docosahexaenoic acid) or Docosahexaenoic Acid (22:6, n-3) also called Cervonic Acid (no longer used) in the form of a triglyceride. NPD1-CELAVISTA® contains no ethanol, toxic heavy metals (mercury for example), impurities originating from fish oil or from partially or totally hydrogenated oil nor fat.NPD1-CELAVISTA® contains no phytanic acid. Capsule components are as follows: gelatin, glycerol and purified water.
 

METABOLISM
 

DHA cannot be synthesized efficiently “de novo” in the human body and must therefore be ingested in the diet or via direct supplementation. EPA is not efficient as regards obtaining suitable DHA levels, although DHA does increase EPA levels significantly. Linoleic and arachidonic (omega 6) fatty acids are very abundant in the Western diet, whilst linoleic acid (omega 3) is a precursor Eicosapentaenoic Acid (EPA) but does not increase DHA levels. Consequently, there is a high risk of developing a DHA deficit.
 
DHA is extremely rare in the diet and is practically only found (in low concentrations) in egg yolk and certain types of fish in which EPA levels are more concentrated than DHA levels. The average figure reported for diets, including the Mediterranean diet, ranges between 100-150 mg/day, whilst the dosage recommended by many authors varies between 250-300 mg/day. This is why DHA is the only deficiency nutrient present in practically the entire world population which is the most highly appreciated of its kind and whose consumption levels are below (half) the recommended dosage with the exception of certain isolated rural communities in Japan.
 
Scientific and medical plausibility factors have determined that the consumption of DHA is justified to normalize or increase optimum nutritional levels of DHA and its associated neurotrophic factors such as Neuroprotectin D1 (NPD1).
 

PHYSIOLOGY
 

DHA requirements are especially significant as it is an essential nutrient for fetal, visual and neurological development in the last 3 months of pregnancy as well as during the first year of life of an infant. As DHA requirements may even increase during infancy and neurological development, it is recommended during pregnancy and breastfeeding.
 
NPD1-CELAVISTA® accumulates at dependent doses in cellular membrane phospholipids and performs specific functions in the retina, brain and other tissues which is where the highest concentrations are obtained in the body. The intake of NPD1-CELAVISTA® accumulates for weeks or months in those tissues where it is crucially needed and well preserved. Two capsules per week in a single administration or taken throughout the week are equal to a 400mg/day intake of DHA in said tissues. Although NPD1-CELAVISTA® can accumulate, it is neither toxic (LD50 2,000mg) nor does it produce overdoses. It most well-known advantages can only visualized subsequent to being administered extensively.

 

HEALTH ALLEGATIONS
 

NPD1-CELAVISTA® and development in infants (visual and cerebral): DHA is an essential nutrient for visual, cognitive and cerebral development in infants.
 
NPD1-CELAVISTA® and the age factor: the administration of DHA serves to regenerate the cellular membranes of all tissues as it is able to restore their original fluidity and dynamism. This results in improved functionality.

NPD1-CELAVISTA® and vascular health: the functionality of the heart and vascular tissues is maintained, thus providing healthier levels of lipids, trigylcerides and glucose and resulting in improved overall vascular health.
 
NPD1-CELAVISTA® and other applications of interest: positive effects have been demonstrated in terms of health conditions in males together with improved skin condition and better sport and muscular activity.
 

SUGGESTED MODE OF USE

1-4 capsules to be taken at lunchtime lunch or as prescribed by a qualified health care practitioner. To be taken for 2-3/weeks to achieve an improved nutritional condition during pregnancy or breastfeeding.

RECOMMENDATIONS: Store in a cool dry place. (12-25°C)/H.R. (35-65%). Always leave beyond the reach of small children.
 

CONTRAINDICATIONS AND SIDE EFFECTS

Hipersensitivity or allergy to fish.

NPD1-CELAVISTA® can be rated as a safe product even when taken at high dosages as, unlike other Omega 3 and 6 fatty acids, it does not significantly alter the normal composition values of other fatty acids present in omega 3 & 6 series, nor does it depend on the intake of other fatty acids as regards increasing DHA and EPA levels.
